Minor mistake on previous visa

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this?
I am applying for an extension of Tier 2. For the previous address section, I have lived in A from 2012 - 2013 and B in 2013 - 2015. However, in a previous application, I have written that I have lived in A from 2012 to 2014 and B in 2014 and 2015. Would an inconsistency like this affect my application if I send an explanatory cover note?
On your extension application you should put down the correct dates on the application form. However, as you suggested, you should include a covering letter that explains why the dates were different on your previous application.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I'd just like to ask whether I will need to provide evidence for each of the addresses that I've lived in to substantiate my cover letter? Is it usually the protocol to check each address in the applicant's address history?
Thanks so much
Good morning @JojoBon
You won't need to provide evidence of your previous addresses with your application.
