Can Tier 2 Worker, have a work permit in EU ?

  • HI,

I am an Indian, on Tier2 general working in the UK.

My employer has got a project in German, I have been asked my willingness to go and work there.

I may go for ILR in 18 months time from now.

If I take a work permit for Germany and work 3-4 days a week work in Germany and come back on weekends for next 6 months,

Will I have any trouble getting my ILR here?

    Please let me know.

    Hi @gatha_vdm ,

Many thanks for your enquiry to White Rose Visas.

If you are looking at applying for ILR after holding Tier 2 for 5 years, the time that you spend working in Germany will count towards your absences and you may risk not being eligible for ILR.

You must not have spent more than 180 days in each 12 month period outside of the UK. Absences are counted towards the maximum 180 days irrespective of the reasons for them.
