Standard Visitor Visa Refused?

I applied for a Standard Visitor Visa to come to the UK for 4 months. I am from South Africa and have been refused because they said my "proposed expenditure is not credible". What does this mean and how can I fix it?
Sorry to hear that your application was refused.
Essentially, it means after having looked into your total income, minus how much you declared you intend to spend on the trip to the UK, the caseworker was not convinced you can sustain yourself and cover the cost of the trip.
If you choose to re-apply, you must address this issue by providing evidence to show that you have the funds to cover the entire cost of the trip as claimed.
